The Hypnosis Counseling Center with offices in Flemington

The Hypnosis Counseling Center with offices in Flemington, Princeton and Frenchtown, will present a special group of workshops on Saturday (Nov. 22) for Smoking Cessation, Weight reduction and Relaxation through Hypnosis.

The workshops will be conducted at the Hypnosis Counseling Center, 28 Mine St. in Flemington.

Each one of these hour workshop includes hypnosis exercises, discussion and an optional CD for $18, which assists in reinforcing immediate results and long range success. The workshops could be taken 2 Day Diet Pills individually or like a set. The Quitting smoking workshop is from 9 to 10 a.m.; Weight Loss comes from 10 to 11 a.m. and Relaxation Through Hypnosis is from 11 a.m. to noon. Barry Wolfson, who is known for a Master's Degree in Counseling and 27 years of proven success within the art of hypnosis, may lead each workshop.

The price per workshop is $55. Registration is underway, and participants will be accepted on the first come, first serve basis.

Help offered at libraries

In an effort to help Somerset County residents find answers to their Affordable Care Act and Medical health insurance Marketplace questions, troubleshoot and/or register through the Feb. 15, 2015 enrollment deadline, Systems Research and Applications Corporation (SRA) International may have certified representatives offered at nine of the 10 Somerset County Library System of recent Jersey (SCLSNJ) library branches through February 2015.

Zufall Health Center representatives will be available for the same purposes at SCLSNJ's Somerville Library branch through February 2015.

SRA International certified representatives is going to be readily available for free assistance in the following SCLSNJ branches in the indicated times:

SCLSNJ's Bridgewater Library Branch at 1 Vogt Drive, noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 3:30 to eight p.m. Mondays, through Feb. 15.

SCLSNJ's North Plainfield Memorial Library Branch at 6 Rockview Ave., noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 3:30 to eight p.m. Tuesdays, through Feb. 15.

If applying for coverage within the Medical health insurance Marketplace, residents must bring the following items with them to the SCLSNJ library branch they choose to visit: A Social Security numbers for those family members (or immigration papers), employer and income information for every person in your family who needs coverage (pay stubs, W-2 forms, etc.) and current medical health insurance plan information for everybody in the household.

Reference work on cancer treatment commended

"Principles and Practice of Radiation Oncology, Sixth Edition," a comprehensive reference work on cancer treatment, co-authored and edited by Dr. Edward C. Halperin, chancellor and CEO of New York Medical College (NYMC), was "highly commended" by the British Medical Association (BMA) in the organization's 2014 Medical Book Awards ceremony in London on Sept. 22, Touro College and University System announced.

Hailed like a "must have" for radiation oncologists, the best-selling "Principals" was certainly one of only five texts in the area of oncology chosen from greater than 640 entries in 20 categories that received this designation.

In their review of it the judges said it was, "by far, the best-written and also the most complete of the lot...a substantial improvement when compared with other utilizes a subject" and "perhaps the only text you might need to develop a firm foundation in radiation oncology," based on a prepared statement.

"Principles and Practice of Radiation Oncology" offers an encyclopedic coverage of epidemiology, pathology, and diagnostic work-up, prognostic factors, treatment techniques, applying radiotherapy, surgery, and chemotherapy and possesses more than 1,400 illustrations. Halperin co-edited the book with Drs. Carlos A. Perez, of Washington University Medical Center; David L. Wazer, of Tufts-New England Medical Center; and Luther W. Brady, of Drexel University College of Medicine.

The annual BMA Medical Book 2 Day Diet Japan Lingzhi Awards recognize outstanding contributions to medical literature, based on each submission's applicability to the audience, production quality, and originality. Prizes were awarded in 21 types of medicine.

Since 2012, Halperin has been professor of radiation oncology, pediatrics, and history at NYMC and provost for biomedical affairs from the Touro College and University System, one of the largest providers of health professions advanced schooling programs in the usa.
